More from the fucked up PETA ad campaign files. (thanks
black_pearl_10)
Really, I wish there was someway to suitably counter-protest that didn't involve buying stock in KFC, eating a steak (as I am a vegetarian despite their best efforts to piss me off into being otherwise), or torturing puppies.*
This article, found while I was searching for information on the religiously offensive "Jesus was a vegetarian" campaign they ran, references several other fucked up billboards and statements by representatives. (Suggesting the holocaust was less of an issue than US chicken consumption? WTF?)
I failed to find any reference to the Lobster Liberation Front effort to buy lobsters from Boston restaurants and FedEx them to Maine to be released. If I recall correctly, they failed to understand that these were locally fished lobsters, so the poor beasties got sent out of their ecosystem to die a much longer death than from boiling.
*EDIT: I figured it out! I am going dancing at MEAT tonight.
