Why I love it here....

For those of you who can make it, the Oakland Museum of California is having a grand opening event and is free and open till 6PM. If you happen to be reading this in the wee hours, you could go now.

Yes, now.

If you happen to be up and moving closer to 8am, you could go then, too. There will be a yoga class, a pancake breakfast, and something called "Miller's Bubble Project."

Having just left (at around 1:30) and the place was packed with folks still arriving, I can't imagine that it will be any less of a blast between now and close.

On not immediatley connecting the dots...

It should be noted that a lecture titles "CPR for singles" is probably not about first aid if it is being given by Dr. Carol Queen.


(To our credit, my neighbor and I had been talking about first aid and search and rescue stuff immediately before deciding to poke our heads into the session. Grace was still looking incredibly perplexed at what engorged clitorises had to do with anything when I caught on that it was for resuscitating sex lives.)
