As can be seen by this fine example of literary technique, my writing sucks. I used to be able to present intelligible thoughts in a reasonable and coherent manner at will. Since leaving college my writing skills have been in steady decline, mostly because I haven't been writing regularly. Admittedly my sense of humor occasionally seeped into my formal writing (for example, the writing a senior seminar paper contrasting Kierkegaard and Kant as a dialectic between two sheep might not have been the most appropriate way to present the subject) but it was well written.
As most of my writing has been brief familiar emails or equally colloquial blog posts, I am thinking that just writing more will help reclaim my written voice. To this end I am going to attempt to write an at least three hundred word post every day during November. Formal argumentation or exposition, hack fiction, verse, technical documentation, etc. All are fair game.
Potential topics being mulled:
The fine lines amongst cultural appreciation, appropriation, and mockery.
My charming sleeping habits, or "Yes, I am a drooler"
My concept of family.
Community cohesiveness vs national protection (this one needs to be posted before the election)
Hot lesbian shower scenes.
Bike maintenance.
Self image.
More suggestions and requests are appreciated, as is feed back.
