Goal and achievements, as described here.

Achievements:

* 4 teeth pulled, one of my two dental bridges replaced. While I am not sure this counts as an achievement, the over $4000 out of pocket (crappy self-insured dental insurance is crappy) made this a notable event for me.
* Briefly achieved "0 Unread" in 2 of my primary email addresses, and two of my secondary addresses.
* Used an entire CSA box with no waste (well, beyond cores, peels, stems, and the carrot tops). This has taken 5 monthly deliveries to finally manage. It is actually quite difficult: Even the smallest box is really a lot for one person, and most of the veggies require being turned into meal-stuff in the first few days, which in turn requires both time and recipes which keep well (or one doesn't mind eating 5 days running).

Stuff I didn't manage to do:

*Move despite stress and substantive effort. In December I found a few acceptable places, and when I gave 2 weeks notice to my building manager, I was informed it had to be 30 days notice in writing to the property management company. So then gave end of January notice to the management company and started looking again. There was nothing available nearly as nice as there had been in December, so I started looking at shared housing with the idea that I would give up living alone for the sake of saving money. Both of the acceptable places fell through, but fortunately I was able to retract my 30 days notice, so I am not without a home.
*Get a passport (still).

Books read:
Keeping it Real - Justina Robson: Meh.
Kushiel's Mercy - Jacqueline Carey: I continue to feel sheepish about how much I enjoy this series.
Toll the Hounds - Steven Erikson: Not my favorite of this series as it was more of slog though the over a thousand pages than prior books in this series. But the finally concluding several story arcs (but not all) was satisfying.
Nation - Terry Pratchett: A children's/young adult type affair, I finished it in an evening. Despite some hard themes it was sweet without being saccharin.
Crooked Little Vein - Warren Ellis: I think I would have liked this more were it a graphic novel rather than a one-sitting read novella. Zany events, cardboard characters.
The Angel's Game - Carlos Ruiz Zafón: Unlike the his previous novel, this one did not work for me. The storyline takes a twist that went convoluted instead of interesting, becoming just a series of Grand Guignolesque incidents rather than enhancing the plot.
