I've been trying to write a cohesive post. In fact I even tried to write a cohesive poem to post the other day.
Nothing has been gelling.
The things I have wanted to cover:
There is a guy I have twice seen coming out 12th St BART (dressed in sorta 50's newsboy business wear) who seamlessly transitions from stepping off the stairs to gliding away on his freeline skates. I had never seen freeline skating before this, and his absolute nonchalance makes it even more impressive.
ZOMG, everything is green! I mean I live in an area that doesn't actually do bleak winters, but there are always a few weeks each spring when a majority of the plants seem to be in sync with fresh sprouted leaves and blades.
While there is lots of environmental doom still out there, we may be succeeding in undoing some earlier damage: In 1982, the last 22 California condors were placed in a captive breeding program. Today, there are nearly 350 in the world.
I am going to be stuck in downtown Dallas for a week this month I don't know how mobile I will be. Anyone have suggestions for cafe, awesome bookstore, etc?
